About Kristen Giovanna

Hello! I’m Kristen Giovanna.

Kindred Folk Commons is a vision that has been close to my heart for years, born out of my own need for connection and community while raising my six young children.

Through the experience of raising my children, I’ve felt the profound loneliness and isolation that many mothers face when they’re left to nurture their kids alone in a society that often feels detached, with little support or village to rely on.

What I'm looking for when I want to get out of the house is a place where my kids and I can agree on. A place that I love being in and that they are equally excited about. I've been finding that that's exactly what many mothers are looking for - a third place where both they and their children can thrive.

Growing up with an Italian mother, I’ve always cherished gathering with loved ones around good food. Sharing meals with friends and family is a huge part of my life, and I’m passionate about creating that sense of togetherness around a beautiful table.

I also have a love for gardening and creating beautiful spaces filled with life. Planting and designing green spaces is something I’ve been doing since childhood.

Kindred Folk Commons is my dream to build a space where connection can flourish, where both young and old can thrive. My goal is to create a beautiful, welcoming environment where community is nurtured and people find the connection they need.
